Welcome to my little corner of internet. My name is Tiarne Carney,
a Tweed Heads birth photographer and lover of all thing’s motherhood, babies, family and birth. Whilst birth photography will always remain my passion, I relish in walking the whole journey to family: from capturing the sweet milestones sprinkled throughout a pregnancy to the deliciously tender moments you will spend with your newest edition as well as the ebbing and flowing seasons of family life as your little loves grow into adventurers and fun seekers. I also have a burning passion for positive birth education and love gifting you skills to unleash the knowledge and empowerment you hold within during my HypnoBirthing course.

What to expect
BEFORE YOUR SESSION
To secure your session with me, I require a $500 non refundable session fee. This ensures that your requested session date is locked into my calendar.
Once your payment has been received,
You will receive a link to your online portal. This portal will give you access to your contract and questionnaire and image package options (more info on these below.)
Please ensure you take your time filling out your questionnaire so I can gain a deep understanding of you before our session together. I want to get to know you as best I can. I value connection and building a relationships with all of my wonderful clients. This helps you feel at ease during our time together and also ensures I can do the best job of telling your story through the images we take together.
What to expect
DURING YOUR SESSION
know it can be overwhelming booking in a photo session and some times the nerves may creep in. I want you to have full faith and trust in me. I promise to capture you and your family in this beautiful sometimes crazy season of life.
Our session together will be very relaxed, we will chat and get to know each other whilst I snap away capturing the beauty of you and your most treasured ones in between.
I will not pose you like those awkward fam photos that go viral on the internet, but I WILL give you heaps of direction.
If I’m not saying anything, it’s because you’re nailing it or I am enjoying following your little explorers around.
You will receive gentle posing directions from me as we go. My goal is to create images that feel candid and natural and show the true essence of your divine little fam.

What to expect
AFTER YOUR SESSION
After our session together, we will hug goodbye and I will be just as excited as you to start the editing process.
Your images will be delivered to you in a private online gallery within 3 weeks of your session. These images are what photographers call a soft proof gallery. These images are not your final images they are instead the first stage of editing. Once you have selected your package size and favourite images, I will revise the editing and make any further touch ups.
It is at this point you can choose to upgrade your image package, if you wish.
Once I have received your selections I will begin the final editing process and have the final gallery delivery back to you in 4 weeks.
Image Packages
I have a variety of packages for you to choose from - all images include digital files and prints. The prints are included in each package to prove the integrity of the digital files. The prints cannot be exchange for additional digital files.
You will automatically be associated with Package 1 upon booking your session. You can upgrade this package before or after viewing your soft gallery proofs.
Please note: These packages are in addition to the $500 session fee. The minimum cost for an extended family sessions ois $900. Most clients have an average spend of $1200 total.
Locations
Locations- I have a few favourite locations I like to frequent. So just let me know if you are wanting beach photos or a field vibe and we can discuss the perfect location for you and your family.
Start Times - The start time of each session will vary from season to season and an exact start time will be given to you a few days out from our session date, once the sunrise and sunset times are more accurate. As a very loose guide you can expect your session to start in between the time frames below.
Summer Sunrise approx. 4:45am-5:00am QLD
Summer Sunset - 6:00pm - 6:30 pm QLD
Winter Sunrise - 5:30am - 5:45am
Winter Sunset - 4:15pm - 5:00pm
Styling Advice
There is so much to be said regarding outfit styling and coordination however to put it simply neutral tones suit my style of photography perfectly.
Colours that edit well with my style are all of the earthy tones. Beige, brown, bone, off-white, khaki, burnt orange and anything else that is on this wave of colour. I suggest wearing these sorts of tones as they also really compliment the locations I shoot at too. .
While outfits do matter, it's also necessary that you feel entirely yourself in your photos.
With this being said - if you normally wouldn't wear a mini dress - don't wear one for your photos. Don't change your hairstyle or feel the need to dress differently. Just be authentically you.
